The Road Down to Campania...

Greetings all!

I am truly sorry about the long distance between posts with some sort of content. We traveled south to Campania as a group seeing several sights as we went along. There was a great deal to see and do along the way, and we took advantage of every minute of travel time that was given to us. As a class we had many action packed days oft times leaving us too exhausted to make it past our dinner time and caused many persons to succumb to sleep well in advance of their regular bed times. I am guilty of falling asleep at nine at night and not rising again until the next morning, but every second of my day was full of adventure and life so the time spent asleep was not wasted.

The following posts over the next several days document our travel to Campania and my weekend in Maratea. Enjoy...

First sight of the Sea...

Temple of Echo at Baiae. It is an old Roman bath that has a ridiculous echo inside of the dome.

Hooligans...

Really cool place to start a trip at.

The beach at Paestum where we spent our first night.

It goes on and on as far as the eye could see, and there was no one there to enjoy it but us. Tourist season is not for a couple of months yet. The weather was still nice enough for us to enjoy!

Not all of Italy is gorgeous...

More from the baths at Baiae

Simply Majestic!
