Food for Thought...

Very busy today... Homework and stuff, plus figuring out possible travel plans with John Graham. In one weeks time I will be preparing for my final presentation of my first project; followed by our first trip to the south coast. We are traveling to Napoli, Pompeii, Paestum and the beautiful island of Capri (beautiful does not actually do it justice). John and I had planned on sneaking down to Sicily in our free weekend, but we shall see what we are in for in terms of travel time and other logistics.

Anyways, the food for thought is involving the majesty that is food here in Italy. Andrew Holcombe (my group member for another project and constant studio companion) and I were traveling our route through Trastevere and seeing how well our guided tour would be for Tuesday morning. Things are looking good! The uniqueness of Trastevere is the food that one can partake in along this neighborhoods winding streets. Asian, European, American, Italian food and numerous other dining options were within a short walk. Tonight we dined on Palestinian food composed of roast pork with various fresh and pickled greens with a dessert consisting of cannoli... My goodness. If any of you visit Italy and do not eat cannoli, you have not really visited Italy. Cannoli is a small tubular fried shell of breading, which is then filled with a creamy filling and topped off with nuts, candied fruits and a dash of powdered sugar... !!!! Words don't really do it justice.

Anyways, back to work! Drew is just getting to studio to help on our touring project, and I have more research to do on several churches in Trastevere.

Buonasera!
